Jaisalmer Fort – The most famous and major tourist attraction of Jaisalmer is the Golden Fort or Sonar Qila. The majestic fortress features beautiful yellowish sandstone architecture which looks gold at the time of sunset. Jaisalmer Fort is a residential complex of many beautiful havelis or houses, temples, and soldiers and traders.

Vibrant Bazaars – There are not many marketplaces in or around Rajasthan that can rival the popularity or the wealth of goods that Manak Chowk has to offer. Rightly located outside the beautiful Jaisalmer Fort, the colorful market depicts the amazing architecture and craftsmanship of Rajasthani artists in equal measure.

Patwon ki Haveli – An architectural marvel in the streets of the city and marked by intricate carving and murals is Patwon ki Haveli. Dated back in the 19th century, this heritage mansion is a combination of 5 different havelis in one single premise. It consists of a museum having rare artifacts, furniture work, miniature, mirror work, and a large collection of paintings.

Nathmalji ki Haveli – A heritage mansion has derived its origin from the late 19th century, Nathmalji ki Haveli has an extraordinary exterior, dripping with carvings. There are pictures engraved on pillars and walls that consist of cattle, horses, and depictions, of flora among many other things.

Gadisar Lake – The artificial lake was originally built as a conservation reservoir for rainwater harvesting. During ancient times, it happened to be one of the major water sources for the entire city. Named after the Maharaja Gadsi Singh, this reservoir was built by him who constructed this lake in 1400 AD. It is an idyllic getaway to seek peace and tranquility of mind, away from the bustling and chaotic city life.

Bada Bagh – Jaisalmer is known to be a desert city, the rulers of Rajasthan made attempts to add some greenery to its landscape. The Bada Bagh is a garden complex and a home to the royal tombs and is among the popular places to visit in Jaisalmer. An artificially built dam is the main source of water for this garden.
